The final piece for this series is finally in! Here is MizDesert, a Jedi Knight with a gift for seeing into the future, in her Corellian Defender-Class Light Corvette (Star Wars: The Old Republic) surveying the lightsaber blueprints of a certain legendary Jedi Master and a Venator-Class Star Destroyer.
What we’ve done here is basically get a Muslim girl to portray a Jedi Knight. If you look closely, you can see how the hijab has been fused with the rest of the costume. Cosplay is for everybody! :)

It’s my parents’ 33rd wedding anniversary so I decided to take some time off the usual routine and do a photoshoot for them :)
This was taken with one of my favourite lenses, the Canon EF 85mm f1.8.

I had the pleasure of working with friends from The Neo Tokyo Project over the weekend to capture an intense StarCraft II-themed cosplay photoshoot between Nova and Kerrigan.
Here is Jazion Keera as Nova in Zerg-infested territories as she stalks the Queen of Blades from Blizzard Entertainment’s epic sci-fi heavyweight. Check out the lovely details on the suit!
This shoot was held in collaboration with Razer.
This interpretation of Nova was created by Jazion, together with our friends from Project Zen from cloth and foam.
DI and post-processing by ConJurer CJ.
I consider myself blessed to be given an opportunity to be behind the lens in a photoshoot with The Neo Tokyo Project and Razer featuring Nova from the Starcraft universe.
It is great to see a character I grew up with come to life.
Many thanks to my crew (Zahara, Kit and Sean) for making the shoot possible and Charlotte (HAPPY BIRTHDAY BY THE WAY!) for cosplaying as Nova.
It was an honour working with Crimson from The Neo Tokyo Project and Snapsniper from Razer on this assignment (and for letting us try out the Razer Edge and Razer Blade).
Watch out for the final photos at http://www.facebook.com/theartofmezame :)

Just trying out more water sprinkler effects in my portrait photography.

A first attempt with shooting a talent with water spraying in.

“36shots: volume 1 (photography by mezame)” has been sent for print on the 3rd of January 2013. However, it won’t be for sale. Can I say that the first volume is priceless? :)
The first volume contains 36 images depicting portraiture photography, Malay weddings and engagements, some fashion photography, a bit of costume play and photo essays set in both colour and black & white.
2 hard copies of the books are already in production and will serve as a handy portfolio for my photography works. One of the copies will be kept in mint condition.
We’re living in exciting times! Cheers!
Thank you for supporting me all these while, people!
