Little Sister with Big Daddy from Bioshock

Well, not really. I was just lucky to be invited by Missy Ida of Ida+In for a photoshoot collaboration with other photographers. The collaboration carried the steampunk theme and incorporated burning steel wool photography. It was an eye-opening experience!

Here’s the full rundown of what we did.

Theme: Steampunk Molten Wool
Chiefs: Skyimage U’sov, Tømmy Rebel & Jaliboy Paolo Ruder
Model: Ria Fushia Ferilyna
MUA/Styling/Wardrobe: Pippin’ Emerald of Trasformazione´

Photoshoot crews:
Flame spinners: Skyimage U’sov & Mohamad Zahren Fadzlan
Model’s asst/Fog creater: Mar Elly
Props/safety equipment: Kevin Fan/Rossi Abun
Video: Ashar Raul / Sallihin
Other shooters involved: Mezame, Missy Ida, Iskandar Ahmad, Azharrudin Abdull Aziz, NorSalwani Saibolbahri, Jason Gunawan

And here’s my favourite shot for the evening, after being given the Rapture atmosphere. It’s my first time shooting and Photoshopping something with steampunk as a theme. Hope I did Bioshock some justice!

Into the Night

I experimented mixing some background images that I found on Google with a photo that I took of this action figurine of Catwoman by Play Arts Kai.

She has been lurking around the roof of a multistorey carpark in Woodlands for a while now, waiting for the opportunity to do what she does best – execute the purrfect crime.

Gosh. That was the most cheesiest thing I’ve ever written in a while. Here’s Square Enix’s Batman Arkham City: Play Arts Kai Catwoman Action Figure! See more at The Art of Mezame

This is part of my collection called Halo: Beyond Reach. Go to The Art of Mezame to see more :)

All shots were taken with my Halo Legends: “The Package” action figures from McFarlane Toys and Playarts Action Figure KAI. Additional images used to provide backdrops/backgrounds are credited accordingly. These shots are part of my hobby – taking photos of action figures of game characters and putting them in scenarios.

Star Wars: The Old Republic cosplay feat. MizDesert

Star Wars: The Old Republic cosplay feat. MizDesert

The final piece for this series is finally in! Here is MizDesert, a Jedi Knight with a gift for seeing into the future, in her Corellian Defender-Class Light Corvette (Star Wars: The Old Republic) surveying the lightsaber blueprints of a certain legendary Jedi Master and a Venator-Class Star Destroyer.

What we’ve done here is basically get a Muslim girl to portray a Jedi Knight. If you look closely, you can see how the hijab has been fused with the rest of the costume. Cosplay is for everybody! :)

This was taken with one of my favourite lenses, the Canon EF 85mm f1.8.
